Know our story

I was born in the mountains of Colombia — raised by coffee farmers who taught me that hard work, rooted values, and the sweat of our brow build more than crops: they build character.  Outside our home, there was violence. Inside, I fought silent battles — against abuse, abandonment, and fear.  

My Abuela bought me all 15 books of an encyclopedia, and that changed my life!   I found sanctuary in books, where I escaped to the pyramids of Egypt, the ice of Antarctica, and the silence of the Himalayas. Those pages planted the seed of my life’s path: growth through exploration.

 At six, I was brought to Queens, New York, carrying my fears, my notebook,  and heart full with  big dreams.

Years later, that path became real. I lived in Europe and have traveled to almost 50 countries — cooking in Paris, praying in Jerusalem, dancing in Ibiza, exploring in Australia, and running the marathon in Athens, where every step reminded me how far I’d come. I’ve crossed borders and continents, but my greatest  journey has always been inward.

I served in the U.S. Army as a soldier, military wife, and military mother. Through that chapter, I came to understand the cost of freedom — and the power of discipline, resilience, and integrity. The military sharpened my leadership and deepened my sense of purpose.

I carry that same warrior spirit into every workshop, every client session, every page I write — because building a life of purpose takes fight. It takes service. And it takes an unshakable commitment to the greater good.
